Barclays Arabians is gearing up to start showing Class "A: beginning again in October. We strive to attend at least 4 Class "A" shows per show season as well as a few open shows for the younger less experienced riders and horses and attend the Region 9 Championships with all who qualify.

We had a very sucessful year last year attending Class "A" shows almost every month as well as attending Region 9 in Ft Worth, Texas. This year we hope to qualify more show horses and continue to attend every show possible.

Here is a look back @ last show season:

STAR Open Show Beeville, Texas

BA Sahara Safir (Thee Pharaoh x Bint Afiza by *Waheeb) Won her Halter class handily. She then turned around and took Grand Champion, all breeds, all sexes. She also placed third in Liberty .

Brianna & her mare GM Bint Emryss took 6th place color class against Paints, Paliminos and other colored breeds, 2nd place Pee Wee Halter, 2nd Place Pee Wee Egg & Spoon and finally 1st place Walk/Trot Western Pleasure.

Gulf Coast Arabians, Christmas Show in Katy, Texas

BA Sahara Safir (Thee Pharaoh x Bint Afiza by *Waheeb) Won her Halter Mares breeding class hands down, placed 1st in her Halter Mares Breeding ATH class. THEN she turned around and took Grand Champion Halter Mares Breeding. She closed out 2008 as being un-deafeated in Halter at three shows

Thee Phoenix (Thee Pharaoh x DAR Jiblis by Hafid Al Moniet) In his 1 yr and under Halter class he took second place and Reserve Grand Junior Champion.

Thee Pharaoh (Thee Desperado x Alishahm Ra) took second place Stallions 2 and over, placed 1st in his Stallions 2 and over ATH class and took Reserve Grand Champion Stallion. He also went out the following day and placed first in the Showmanship ATH class!

Houston All Arabian Show in Katy, Texas (Double Judged Show)

BA Sahara Safir (Thee Pharaoh x Bint Afiza by *Waheeb) 2nd place with both judges in her Halter Breeding Mares Open class, Reserve Grand Champion Open, 2nd in Halter Breeding Mares ATH with both judges, Unanimous Reserve Grand Champion by both judges in Breeding Mares ATH and finally Reserve Grand Champion in Supreme Mares Championship

Savi Shiraz. 3rd and 4th place in HA & AA Mares Open, Unanimous 2nd with both judges for HA & AA Halter Mares ATH, Unanimous decision for Reserve Grand Champion in the Championship HA & AA Mares Halter class ATH then in HA & AA Mares Sport Horse In-Hand and placed 4th in ATH and 6th in the Open class against 12 other mares.

Thee Pharaoh (Thee Desperado x Alishahm Ra) Two 3rd's in Stallions 2 and over, Two 2nd's in Stallions 2 and over ATH, Liberty class he took 4th & 5th against a class of 10, Two 2nd's in the Showmanship ATH class, 3rd in Sport Horse in-Hand Stallions ATH and finally 4th Sport Horse in-Hand Stallions Open class.

Brianna riding Ginny Knokes Gelding; 'Ole 2nd & 3rd Western Pleasure Walk/Trot 10 & Under and Two 2nd's in Stock Seat Equitation.

Savi Shiraz. 2nd place in HA & AA Mares Open, 5th Place Liberty, 3rd Place Color Class and 2nd place Sport Horse In-Hand HA & AA 3 and Over .

Brianna and her 26 yr old Mare GM Bint Emryss. 2nd Western Pleasure Walk/Trot 10 & Under, 1st Place Costume 10 & Under, 3rd Place Color Class Open, 2nd Place Egg & Spoon, 2nd Place Stock Seat Equitation 10 & Under, and 5th Place WP Walk/Trot Open (This was against adults as well. There were 7 in the class)

Thee Phoenix (Thee Pharaoh x DAR Jiblis) 1st Place Colts 2 & Under, 1st Place Sport Horse In-Hand Colts and 2nd in Color Class.

Lone Star Classic in Boerne, Texas.

Savi Shiraz. 1st Place HA & AA Mares Halter Open, 3rd Place HA & AA Mares Halter class AOTH, and 5th Place HA & AA Mares Sport Horse In-Hand.

Thee Pharaoh (Thee Desperado x Alishahm Ra) 1st Place Stallions Breeding AOTH, 1st Place Stallions Breeding Open and 2nd Place SH In-Hand Stallions.

BA Sahara Safir (Thee Pharaoh x Bint Afiza by *Waheeb) 1st place with Halter Breeding Mares Open.

We walked away from the Lone Star show with the 1st Place Mares Breeding, 1st Place HA / AA Mares Breeding & 1st Place Stallions Breeding!
