Alita's
Story

Week Five
June 30th-July 6th
Still Going Strong
Alita
is still doing well all this week. She is bearing weight on her leg well
enough that if you didn’t see the bandage you wouldn’t know she was
lame. This is GREAT news! I am so excited. I asked Diana to come back
out to the house and do a follow-up session with Alita. She agreed and
said she would stop by after work.
I made a pitcher
of tea as there were several people coming over to watch this session up
close. We set out chairs near the horses yet in the yard so they could
sit and watch. Once Diana arrived the session began after she spoke with
our baby first.
I brought out
Alita and those who saw her at the vets at Diana’s last session were
amazed by her progress. She was pretty comfortable with her leg. Diana
again concentrated on the areas that Alita said were giving her
problems. Alita again responded to Diana’s touch and seemed relaxed
and at ease. She rubbed down her legs and repeated a affirmation to
Alita; "I am strong. I am whole. I am perfect in body, mind and
spirit. Everything I need comes to me in divine time."
Once the session
was over we all wished Alita a good night, I thanked our guests put
Alita in her stall and were off to dinner in our separate ways. It was a
good night and hopefully the rest of the week will be as good.
Alita truly
seems to be getting better. Everyday she seems to be more and more
comfortable with her leg. She is beginning to look like her old self
when she walks. I am so pleased. She is staying in her area and not
trying to escape with the others and she seems to honestly be trying to
get better. She is doing so well that we have her down to ½ Bute am and
½ Bute PM.
We are changing
her bandages still every two days and Alita stands like a champ. She
actually is starting to look at her knee as we clean and change it. The
discharge has cut to about ½ as much and the bandages aren’t quite as
wet when we remove them. It is going well at this time.
